Ok - I cannot find anything about this movie anywhere - not for years! I will say as much as I know. Someone is bound to remember or know it. I'm sure I didn't imagine it. The movie starts with a cop sitting in a car on the pier near a harbour, eating a burger. A car or vehicle comes from behind him and pushes his vehicle deliberately into the harbour where he, 'drowns'. He is saved by some secret agent who is black and this agent tells this saved cop while he's laying on a hospital bed, that his name is Reno - he gets that name off a bed pan in the room. The bandages are taken off 'Reno' and a new face is revealed. I think Tom Berenger might have played him at first and then I another actor plays the unveiled man. Ultimately, the cop with his new face is trained in martial arts by and older Chinese or Asian man who makes him eat the basics only. That old man watches a TV soap and gets emotional. That part's funny. The cop has to later, jump from pole to pole during some test by the enemy? I hope someone can remember the name of this movie - I think it's great!! Thanks!
