What does the Vet say? Hip? Leg? Bone? She's limping on all 4 legs?

I had a GSD that grew very quickly and limped for quite a while, stopped when she reached over two years old.

I would also suggest the vet. I have a dog that has joint issues. Better safe than sorry and then the vet can tell you how to treat it when it is acting up and when it is not. It can be something serious or something like a strain which will get better on its own.

I have this issue with my pup all the time. He's had 3 limps since we got him at 2 months, and he's only 7 months old now.

Two of those limps only lasted a few days and then went away. He's limping again, and this time it's gone on for too long, at least where I'm concerned. No swelling, no cuts, no pain when I touch the leg, but he's going to the vet on Thursday regardless.

I would suggest the vet in your case because you're hearing his hip make noises. Danes are big dogs and can have issues with their joints and legs because of their size. Better safe than sorry. I know it's a pain, because you go, spend hundreds for x-rays, and tests, only to find out nothing is wrong. But, if there is something wrong, it's money well spent, and sadly we really can't tell you what's wrong without all the tests.

    Good luck.
