    Blower motor hums but won't come on.
    Furnacwe motor hums but won't turn. If I manually turn it it comes on for a short while then slows down and stops. Same in furnace mode and just in 'on' position on thermostat.
    I could use any ideas.

    The motor needs to be replaced.

    If there is a capacitor on the motor, chances are it has gone bad. What you describe is classic bad capacitor symptoms. The capacitor would be far cheaper than a new motor. Even if I'm wrong, your cost would likely be less than $20.
