I have a beach vacation planned in Nov first week and I have my periods also around the same time. How can I delay my period by using the safest method without any side affects?

Are you on the pill?

Some women will take their birth control pills back to back, which will make them miss a period. Instead of taking the placebo pill, or waiting a week between pill packs, just start a new pack when the old one ends.

I'm not completely sure how safe this is. I've been told by my doctor that doing it once or twice isn't bad, and won't have any long term effects. I've done it myself, back when I was on the pill, because of a situation like yours, vacation where I didn't want my period, and it was due.

I would talk to your doctor because each pill is different, if you're even on the pill.

If you're not on the pill, then I really don't know what you could do. I haven't heard of anything that could delay a period other than the method I mentioned, or pregnancy.
