Like TJ said you'll have to talk to the school district, and your school. What you do doesn't matter if they don't accept it. They have to be the ones to determine what you can do, if anything, to meet the credentials to get into grade 8.
Keep in mind that they may not accept summer school classes, or online classes. They are the ones that will set the criteria, and then it's up to you to meet it or not.
This begins with talking to the school you're at.
Good luck.
If it can't be done, don't let it stand in your way. So you messed up. It happens. You learned from that mistake and now you're a good student. I know it's hard to accept that you ended up going back a year, but it's only a year, and maybe it's the best thing that could have happened. After all, it made you realize how important school is, and it made you work harder. Don't stop doing that if your wish isn't possible.
