There's this really awesome girl who I'm starting to fall for. We're pretty good friends but there's one problem. She has a boyfriend. What I don't understand is her boyfriend lives in nyc and she lives in PA they've been together for 7 years and managed to make the long distance relationship work. She did mention a break between the two afew weeks ago and if I remember correctly. He's the one that mentioned it first. However she stated that maybe a break would be best for the two. I don't want to break them up cause I would feel terrible and she's socially awkward and not very social. But each and everyday she opens up to me alil more. I want to be with her so bad but I don't know what to do.

To answer your question, if she wants to be with you, she'll break up with him. She hasn't, which means she's telling you that she's not interested.

You may not understand her relationship with her boyfriend, but it's not yours to understand. I realize you care about her, which is probably why you're seeing issues in her relationship, even if they're not there. Fact is, she has a boyfriend, so she's off limits, and if she wanted you to be her boyfriend she'd dump the one she has now.

Leave her alone and let her figure out what to do. Then let her heal if she breaks up with him. Give her time and space. You don't want to be a rebound.
