    Hemroids!
Hey mommies I'm hoping some of you can help me, during my Pregnancy I experienced the annoying hemroids so many of us get around my 8th month. I went out immediately and got preparation h and that helped with the swelling quite a bit and even the discomfort. My labor was quick and relatively easy, I haven't had any new hemroid issues in my post partom portion. Im 3 weeks PP. My issue is, during my Pregnancy I had one hemroid in particular that swelled to the size of a grape and I still have it. Though it is no longer swollen and no longer causes any discomfort. I still use preparation h and even witch hazel . I do my kegal exercises daily and it still hasn't gone away. How long did it take for you ladies to get rid of your hemroids and is there anything ghat worked for you that would speed up the process for me? Thanks!

    Hi!

Did you try getting one of those round pillows that's available for hemorrhoid sufferers? You can usually find them either at a pharmacy or medical supply store. They come in some dreadful colors, so I went to the fabric store and got some spandex fabric in a nice dark blue instead of the crazy Scottish plaid it had. The doughnut pillow works WONDERS since it takes pressure off your anus. Also, try to make sure you are sitting up straight. When your back is straight when you sit up, it also takes pressure off your hemorrhoids. Do you work a desk job, or are you a stay-at-home mom? Try to get up and move around as much as you can, maintaining good blood flow throughout your limps helps. I took Advil once a day as an anti-inflammatory, ate high fiber foods (like bran cereal, or those Fiber One bars as snacks). Consider also having Metamucil (powder fiber supplement) in the morning to keep your bowel movements going smoothly. Something else I learned is that when you're going to have a bowel movement, try to avoid staying on the toilet for more than two minutes. If it doesn't happen quickly, then go back later and try again when you feel an "urgent" need to go.

I'm so sorry you're stuck with these, I remember how annoying they are!

Im currently a stay at home mom do to my maternity leave, I try to not lounge around too much and for the most part I'm pretty regular, my doctor prescribed some stool softener before I left the hospital, I just hope get back to 'normal' fairly soon. Nothing kills sex like hemroids and my partner and I have had to put the breaks on things long before I delivered our son. Thanks for all the tips!

You might have to have it banded. It's not fun, uncomfortable, but if you get a good doctor it's usually one day and you're feeling better.

Talk to your doctor about getting in to see a hemorrhoid specialist.
