I was stupid and took a check from a friend and wrote it for $40 now she is pressing charges I went to jail and got out for $500 bond I have court tomorrow morning I can't handle jail what's going to happen to me

Most likely one to two years probation, a large fine, and having to pay court costs and pay your friend back.

Sorry but you don't sound like much of a friend, why did you steal from them, and if you were going to steal, why 40 dollars. You have lost a friend, ( maybe several) and now will have a record for the rest of your life.

Yes I know I'm devastated I have done nothing like thkis before and I did it to help another friend to get her boyfriend out of jail this is stupid I have lost a friend and now getting harassed by her family and friends I don't even know
