    You do want to consider what job fields you might consider because those jobs might be restricted to you.

    Which ones are you considering... banking, finance and healthcare are basically generally closed to felons. As are most things requiring a security clearance. That way you don't waste time getting a degree in a field you might not be able to use.

    So yes, people with records go to college all the time.

    If this was selling drugs, you will not get a lot of the loans or grants, so you will have to work and pay for it.

    What is your question about going to college, that is a good thing
