    Claiming a grandchild
Our adult daughter who lives with us just had a baby and we put the baby on our health insurance. Do we have to claim the baby on our income taxes or can my daughter do that?

Your can claim the child if you provide more than half of its total support for 2012.

Otherwise, your daughter should claim the child.
