    Furnace not responding to anything
My furnace is not responding to the thermostat, I am not getting any red beeps in the window, So I checked the on / off switch, then the breaker and got no response,

Could the thermostat be bad, or the control panel, I would appreciate any suggestions.

What make, model, type furnace is this, that brand model thermostat is this. I assume this was working previously and its not a new thermostat.

Could be a bad tstat, no power from transformer, loose or broken wire etc. Need to do a little sleuthing. Battery changed in Tstat?

The thermostat is old, I am guessing 30 or more years old, I replaced it today, but it did not work. I called the manufacturer and we went through a bunch of steps and it checked out fine.

I am now assuming that there is something wrong in the furnace, like the main board. Should I take it to my local parts dealer and have it checked out?

    Thanks for your advice.

The only way to have the board checked is when it is in the furnace. I would suggest calling in a tech and have them check things out. However, if you will give us the info smoothy asked for, we may be able to help you do some troubleshooting. It could be the control board, but it could also be a bad transformer, or simply a bad fuse. Give us more info about the furnace and maybe even post a pic or two of the control board and associated controls and wiring.
