    Ask a OBG
I am a 31 years old. I have a 3 year old child. Not quite sure when my last period was, but I can say it's been at least 10 months if not more. In February 2012, a lision was found of my cervix and it was removed. At my post surgery check up, in April, I told the doc I hadn't had a period, but then I mentioned that I had always been irregular. So he thought nothing of it. This is the longest time I have gone with out having a period. I am in a foreign country and don't fully trust the doctoring ways here. About 2 weeks ago, I started taking blue Cohosh to try to kick start my period but nothing yet. What should I do? Any suggestions would be helpful.

You need to have your hormone levels checked. Particularly your estrogen, FSH and LH hormones. The results will tell whether you are in or near menopause.
