Cost to sign over parental rights
My husband wants to adopt my son, and then my ex can stop paying child support. How much does it cost to have him signed over and adopted through the courts in MN?

It varies - you have to call law firms/Attorneys and ask.

Will they give me an answer without having to pay them for their time?

Most attorneys, will either quote an estimate or a flat rate for something like this. Feel free to shop around.

Since it appears the bio father will agree to the adoption, then this should be relatively simple and inexpensive. The attorney will simply need to prepare the forms and it can be handled in a single court session.
