How does a 1 year old kid gets MRSA
My nephew was born in a Fort Myers Hospital and was treated for methadone addiction (his mother was addicted to pain pills and was taking methadone to come off them while pregnant). He got MRSA then but he's been OK since a couple of days. He got it again. Is this possible.. Is there a reason it came back.

Does he have an open sore somewhere on his body? That's usually how the infection begins.

He didn't really have any sores.. he started with a little rash.. and then with a fever.. and then when she took him to the pediatrician he sent him straight to the hospital. The thing is she has lied before a lot of thing just to score money from everyone.. and I guess my concern is if this is possible or is this just another lie from her?

Why would this be a reason to score money and for what? Yes, it's possible.

Cause she's been addicted to heroin and the last 3 years she was addicted to pain pills and she's been suppossedly off them for over a year... but in the past like 3 months I can see that she's saying things that don't make sense (like she used to when she was on drugs).. And then she said that the baby got transferred to another hospital that was way further from us than the one she said he was at.. cause he had MRSA in his intestines.. and when we said we were going to go see him she said they sent him home.. Would they have.. I mean he's a year old with "MRSA in his intestines" doesn't sound good at all.. it sounds dangerous so I don't think they would've send him home from the hospital or is it fairly easy to treat.

Yes, it's possible for it to recur.
I don't pretend to know all about MRSA, but I do know that internal infections are far more serious than skin ones. I also know that the intestinal tract from mouth to anus is considered 'outside' your body, like your skin. Hopefully that means better chances.

But you cannot know if she is lying or not without proof. If she wants money, you don't give it to her, plain and simple.
