I have already received responses regarding what is foreign judgment, and what it entails.

I was hospitalized post-surgery (big surgery) when the hearing for foreign judgment in the foreign court was held. I did request by written letter that I be given an opportunity to extend (continue) or attend telephonically, etc. This was not entertained by the court.

Cutting to the chase: It was apparently granted, and since they now have "juriisdiction" they believe, several new motions were filed against me (in the foreign court) including contempt. While all of these are easily defended because they have the wrong information (really, they are using an outdated copy of our divorce documents, 4 years out of date... ) my question is this:

I was not served with the judgment, but have received motions for contempt etc.

Do I file in my home court? Wouldn't it be on file with this jurisdiction that foreign judgment was granted, my understanding is they need to release it... and haven't to the best of my knowledge. I'm acting as my own attorney and been doing well so far but I'm ignorant about a lot of aspects of the law.
