    Ice Maker: Frozen line
The ice maker in my refrigerator stopped making ice. I looked into this and found out that there was frozen water in the last portion of water line that goes from the electronic water valve to the ice maker, last 2 inches more or less, as well as the white tube from the end of the water line to the ice maker. I took the white tube out and cleaned it and was able to use a hair drier to melt the water inside the end of the waterline. I then put everything back in place and about half hour latter it started to make ice. The fallowing day I found out that the same problem occurred all over again…What is happening? What do I need to replace? Is it a problem with the icemaker itself, the water valve? Why is the water getting frozen before it gets into the ice maker and thus blocking the water?

The water should flow into a big tube that is insulated and lets it flow from the small tube all the way at the tip of the big tube. None of the small tube should be exposed to the cold air or it will freeze. You can get a small heater that wraps around the big tube like a drain heater. You can find a universal heater at an appliance parts store or an HVAC supply house for about $5.00 or so. It should have had one installed on some models, but some do not. If the water flows out of the big tube without a drop or two staying to freeze it should be no problem. You may just need to re-adjust the tubing and clean the tip of big tube so the water flows out of it smoothly. Look at these: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/8010163/Whi...0Dispenser.pdf
