    Lawyer obligation
I have complex ptsd and chronic pain. I'm 63 years old and after being on a navy ship for 2 years, in 1970 I smoked marijuana and found that it helped both conditions. 17 years ago I got busted, I didn't smoke at work and was a tool and die machinist for 11 years at the same factory. The police also charged my wife who I married in the philippines and was here on a green card.
She never touched pot, drank or smoked and has always worked the 22 years that she was in america.
It was my fault but the police lied and te lawyers didn't show up to court on three different occasions. After my money was gone they told me that if my wife plead guilty to a simple misdomennor possession of pot, it wouldn't effect her citizenship... they lied and she could only be here with the green card. Then after the false flag attack of 9/11 they check fingerprints when renewing the green card. When I found this out I hired this lady immigration lawyer who I trusted. I paid her $525 for a couple hours of resurch and she said that she would be able to get a waiver and she would get her green card renewed. I sent her $500 more because I knew that she would need to get copies of records. She told me that nothing could be done untell 6 months before the experation of her card and I contacted their office exactly 6 months before the card was to expire. Then they tell me that it was to close to the expiration date and she wants to return $500 to me and I'd have to go somewhere else.
This stinks to high heaven to me. Don't lawyers have an obligation to hold up their end? What do I do?
It's about 4 months now untell her green card expires. I completley don't trust the police or lawyers. Now we don't have enough time to sell the house... we've got a great looking yard and we'll get less money now.
Is this legal what this lawyer has done?

    Thanks
