Pest and utility problem, 3 continuously
When I moved into my apartment, I noticed ( within the first week) many issues that I immediately submitted to the leasing office. My fridgerator's freezer still doesn't work. ( never freezes, ruined a lot of food). The water backs up and clogs every sink and tub. Washing dishes and taking a shower is borderline impossible. My master bedroom only has 1 electrical outlet that works, but if I try and use both ( 2) plugs it blows the entire back of the apt.s fuses. There's a few more minor issues , but my worst problem which makes living here unbearably disgusting, is the cockroach and bug problem. I've tried taking care of this problem myself but it seems to have just gotten worse. No matter how much I clean.up, they are still there. All diff. Sizes and kinds. I believe the are coming through the walls, they are in every drawer and cabinet, all over all my silverware and dishes. When my girl friend and I moved in, we noticed each other scratching and itching all the time. We figured it must have been an allergic reaction, we never considered it being something from inside the apt , especially because the property manager said they had just put down new carpet. I recently found out that the reason the complex only replaced the carpet because of the severe Bed Bug and Cockroach infestation that caused the previous tenants to apparently evacuate immediately after realizing the infestation. My Gfs dog had puppy's 2 months ago. Now not only my Gf and I have Bed Bugs but 5 pups, 1 dog and my Gfs brand new condo! I just need to understand the laws in rentals, and perhaps obtain legal Council to pursue sueing this company and receiving monetary compensation right away along with Clean Paid Living arrangements and most of all, cleaning or new furniture, seeing as how we are prob. Going to have to throw away everything in the apt

Is the fact that the dog had pups somehow the landlord's fault?

Ak Lawyer- are you kidding me? Are you a lawyer or a dumb 15 year old? I'll spell it out.
Can I brake my lease and Sue my Apt complex for renting an infested apt and allowing the consistent problems and Submitted issues go on , without having any need to fix anything?!

You can brake your car. You can break your lease if you can prove the problems were caused by the landlord and not by you.

The only thing I didn't understand, actually. How it is that you imagine that the non-sequitur about the pups had anything to do with your landord/tenant issues.

Bed bugs are hard to prove. Unless you have evidence that they were present before you moved in, there's no way to prove that you yourself didn't bring them into the apartment.
