My Boyfriend's parents are racist and kicked me out !
My boyfriend is Punjabi , a type of Indian and I'm black and puerto rican. I have no where to go so my boyfriend said I could stay with him , until his parents caught me in his apartment at 6:45 am because they have nothing better to do than be nosy. I'm nervous because I have no where to go and he's totally calm about it telling me not to worry. PLEASE HELP WHAT SHOULD WE DO !

How old are the both of you?
Does his parents pay the rent in his apartment, or is this his parents place? I don't understand that this makes his parents racist especially of they are paying his rent. If they are not paying his rent why is your boyfriend listening to them?
Do you work and why do you have nowhere else to go?
I think the worry is yours, why are you your boyfriend's responsibility? How long have you two dated?

How old are both of you? Is this the full story?

Unless they said something to you indicating they were upset because you aren't Punjabi, I don't know if race was the reason they were upset. They might have the same reaction to any woman they found in their son's apartment regardless of her racial make-up.

I am not defending the parents' actions actions, but, rather, trying to understand the background.

Does your boyfriend have his own apartment that is not on his parents' property or paid for by his parents? Is he self-supporting?

If he rents the apartment and pays for it and his other needs, I can't see that his family would have standing to kick you out.

He is telling you not to worry. Has he told why you shouldn't worry? Has he told you that you cannot stay there any more or is he inviting you back?

Do you have other friends? What about family? If you have a job, can you stay at a motel/hotel for a night or two while you work something out? If you have absolutely nowhere else to go, have you looked up your local homeless shelter?
