Implantation bleeding?
Someone please help me figure out what is happening! My period was due around the 1st. I say around because unfortunately I don't keep very good track of my cycle. For a week or so now I've been having slight stomach pain a couple times a day, been very moody, bloated and some headaches. Two days ago I started having brown spotting with almost no pink. Just brown. That continued for 2 days until I woke up this morning with bright period-like blood. I ended up using 2 tampons today which is a little lighter than my normal period. I've been hoping I was pregnant but now I'm worried that I may not be since there is so much blood. I don't think it could be my period since it is so late, the brown spotting and I had what I thought were possible early pregnancy symptoms. Does someone have any idea of what is going on? Thank you!

Brown blood is old blood, blood that was left in your system and is now being cleared out. Many women will experience brown discharge during the end of their period, but it can also happen before, or midway. The fact is, you're bleeding now. That means that's it's unlikely that you conceived this month. A missed period is usually the first sign of pregnancy. You're having your period. Pregnancy symptoms and PMS are identical. It sounds like you're just having an off month. A lot of things can affect your period, stress, medication, weight loss, weight gain, etc. etc. etc. Better luck next month. :) |
