19 years ago my son was involved in a minor crime in Montreal
Since then he has had some domestic issues that have had the police at his door but no one ever mentioned the Quebec situation. His wife is a little mentally slow so the issues were always about the children. He has had a few minor mishaps over the years but but not involing the police. He is married with 3 kids under 6 yrs old. Can they do anything now after being out of the province of Que. For 19 yrs?

It depends on the crime in Montreal, what the disposition was.

    There's no "one answer."

What was the charge? What was the sentence?

He is not an aggressive type but think he was involved in a robbery... no one was hurt but he failed to appear so that is why the warrant.

He has his drivers license.. also he has married and he rents his home so I think if they wanted him they would have sent a warrant to his home.

This is the first time you've mentioned a warrant.

Warrants never die. It may very well be that no one has searched his name up until now.

They don't send a warrant to you. The Police come, serve you with the warrant and take you to jail.

It's entirely possible that his name somehow never got placed in the database. There's no way to know. If he crosses into the US it might show on that database.
