What liens survive tax auction in Michigan
I am trying to figure out what liens, encumbances, easements, or other potential financial problems I could run across after bidding on a property at a Wayne County Tax Sale in Michigan? Also I can check the title on the register of deeds for free or pay a attorney or a title company, but the cheapest I found is $250.00/40 yr check, what's my best options?

You can check for free at the local Recorder of Deeds office. But I would go with a title company to do the search.

The agency that conducted the sale should indicate what, if any liens survive the auction. Liens probably won't survive, but easements are a part of the deed.
