    friendship after cheating possible
I dated my x for about a month... we really liked each other so we made it official. While we were dating, I confessed to still be messing with my ex, Justin. The same week me n my new boyfriend, Tyler, started going out I met up with Justin as we had planned a week prior, to Exchange belonging left behind. During our interaction, Justin's jealousy took hold n had me second guessing my new boyfriend. I wound up cheating n held it from Tyler for the next two months. Tho Tyler asked me time n time again, I denied ever cheating until finally confessing resulting in our break up. After several call/text/messaging attempts I decided to leave him be being that he only responded to a few. It's been 5 months now n I wanted to know where he was with things, and after a week of no response, he replied he's been super busy n gave me his number to call him.I tried n nothing, I texted n nothing... I finally decided to give it one last shot wit a call. He picked up n sounded happy n interested in what was new with me so I told him. He then turned the conversation to our break up n said "I thought I aready made it clear. I couldn't see a future in that relationship. I don't hate u n wouldn't mind being friends but its gonna take a bit." My question is am I wasting my time hoping for another chance to be his again? Is he really over me? Does he want me around for the temporary until he finds someone to replace me? Thanks for your time n advice!

Why would he want you again? You cheated on him. If he's smart, then you are wasting your time sitting around waiting for another chance. To be honest, you're just hurting yourself by even trying to contact him. Nothing good usually comes from friendships with ex's, just heartache from past memories.

Move on with your life, maybe find someone you don't have to cheat on.
