    Should I take a pregnancy test
    Okay so me and my boyfriend always have unprotected sex and for a like 3weeks now I have felt sick and I've been sleeping a lot. My left sid hurts my lower adomen and lower back and my left side of my belly button hurts I. Don't know what I should do I'm only 16 and I'm kind of scared to take a pregnancy test

    Why are you scared? Aren't you trying to conceive, isn't that why you're having unprotected sex? Saying you're scared of pregnancy after having unprotected sex is like saying you're afraid to get shot while holding a loaded gun to your head and pulling the trigger. It makes no sense.

    Not taking a pregnancy test won't change anything. If you're pregnant, you're pregnant. Have you missed your period? If so take a pregnancy test, make sure to use first morning urine, and realize that it may be to early to test, so you may get a false negative. If the test is negative wait a few more weeks, or until your next period is due, and test again, or see your doctor for a blood test.

    Now, if you get lucky and you're not pregnant, I want you to remember how you feel right now the next time you and your boyfriend have sex. Do you want to go through this again, or have you learned something?

    Hopefully you get lucky this time and dodge the bullet.
