I have been under a lot of stress the last 6-8 weeks. End of July I got a rash on my right face and left arm, on the arm it was linear from hand to elbow and then started again from back of shoulder to side of chest in a straight line. The ER doc said definitely not bed bugs but probably shingles, early stage. They put me on a one week anti-viral. Of course, the stress continued and then I got a HUGE red,itchy spot on right elbow which became blisters the next day. The doc put me on one month anti-virals. Even on the medication, I continue to get breakouts from fingers and sporadically up both arms but most do not go all the ways to blistering. Some are single but most come in clusters of 2 or 3, burning and itching in the spot for a day or two before anything appears. The doc says as long as I am stressed the breakouts can occur but I am wondering if, perhaps, it is something like bed bugs.

I think you should listen to your doctor regarding the shingle diagnosis; calm down and stop being stressed out and follow his advice
