I need to lighten my too-dark dyed hair
I am a natural redhead (light copper) now going white at roots. My stylist has beenn coloring my hair light golden brownish with highlights, but I wanted my red back.. Today she mixed up a new color and dyed my hair what she calls mahogany. It is dark reddish brown. Looked nice at first look in the salon but now I see that it is way too dark for my very light skin. Also there are no tonal differences so I feel like I have on a very dark reddish-brown (cool toned) hat. What can I do?

What ever you do do not put light highlights in your hair because I recently did this to my dyed hair and now my hair is super light on the roots then it goes to a medium brown on the part that was dyed... I think you should go to a near by Solon or a Sally's to ask what you should do

I have naturally dark brown hair. I colored it at home using a dark brown color (cornsilk #613) and it turned out black. Now when I look at myself that is all I see. Is there anything that can be done at home to lighten my hair? I've heard to use prell, laundry soap, dish soap or dandruff shampoo....
