    Filing a lawsuit
    Can I file a lawsuit against the hospital and/or police deaprtment in which I had my baby for allowing a police officer to enter my labor and delivery room to question me right after given birth? The hospital blames the police department for coming in when they were told not to and the police department says the hospital is at fault. They were in search of the father of my baby.. someone alerted the authorties that he was at the hospital.They later caught him and he was released on bond. I just felt violated that the police would come in my labor and delivery room where I was half dressed and uncleaned from just giving birth.

    You start with a notice of claim against both. You need an Attorney. There's a time frame, usually 90 days.
