Is it likely I've reached my full height by now?
    Hey guys!
I'm 18, about 5'6"-5'7" tall and weigh about 106-110 lbs. I haven't grown much, if any for about a year now. I have two older sisters who are 30, and 23. I'm taller than both of them. All of us are pretty skinny, I guess it's just the way we are (we don't have any psychical or eating disorders). My dad is about 5'11 and a half, and about 200 lbs. My mom is 5'8 and a half. Beings both my sisters are done growing, and very short I'm assuming I've reached my full height as well? For what's worth, I've heard some old wise's tales about how guys who full facial hair, full arm pit hair, etc.. Are usually done growing. I have a full beard, and arm pit hair, and hair all over my body. Again, that's just an old wise tales. Haha, anyway. I was just wondering if anyone could give me your perspective on this?

    Thanks! :)

I have a son your age and we asked his pediatrician the same thing. The pediatrician said that boys can grow well into their twenties, even to 23 or 25. He did also point out though that my son does not yet have a full beard, which is a sign that he is not done physically maturing and is particularly likely to grow some more. He also made the point though that everyone is different - some boys stop growing as freshmen in high school, some boys get a full beard early then continue growing like weeds. Some boys stop growing and get a beard four years later.

In other words - you could continue growing and you might be done. I know that's not much help but all you can do is wait and see. For what it's worth - I'm 5'9 and a woman so I notice this - a LOT of men, I'd even say MOST men are shorter than me. I'm in crowds a lot - take a commuter train, work in a major city and walk through crowded streets. There's nothing wrong with being shorter - makes no difference - and there are plenty of short girls out there who don't want giant boys!
