My washer is flushing out water from the detergent cubby and the clothes inside doesn't not spin. There's a weird screeching noise when it tries to spin. Help! Not sure what need to be done and scared of the repair costs. Is this junk or something easily fixable?

If it is a front-loading machine get rid of it unless you can fix it cheap. All of them are nothing but trouble. They have many design problems not seen in top loading machines such as using the wrong metal combinations that cause rapid corrosion and destruction of major parts like using aluminum with stainless steel causing the more reactive aluminum to corrode away through electrolysis in six months to a year or so with no warranty on that part. I would never buy one.

No one can know without getting in there with a meter. One can only start guessing and I could not begin to do this. It should be a cheap and easy fix if you will use a meter to check it out. With a front loading machine most failures are catastrophic and you are better off replacing it, on a top loader it's easy and cheap. I am not sure which one you have.

I'm having a sears repair guy come check it out. I just want to make sure he's doing what he needs. It's a front load model# 110.46462500. I checked out the manuel and it was a different washer than inthought. What are your thoughts on this?

I hope you can fix it cheaply. I would never buy one considering all the trouble they are.
