    Need Help!
My husband, who I got married to 3 months before my daughter was born, is on her birth cirtificate, but he is not the biological father. Since he was my husband at the time, no questions were asked, she got his last name and he was considered her dad. Now, my daughters biological father is wanting to change her name, get put on the birth cirtificate and everything. Im not going to fight this because it is the right thing to do. How do we need to go about doing this?

Where you are is important - I doubt you can amend the birth certificate without DNA testing.

Was putting your husband's name on the birth certificate automatic, without your consent, or were you asked?

Don't forget to get the child support from biodaddy. Back to birth if you can, that's part of his responsibility, until the father she has always known can or does adopt her.

It was automatic.. But I wasn't against it because at the time, the bio dad wasn't around. And she was born in Arkansas so there by law, the husband is automatically assumed as the father.

How long have you been married? In some states there is a timeline for changing it. Also since he accepted responsibility they may not allow a change.
