    Delta Single Tub Faucet
I am down to the brass ring and I can't get it off. I sprayed the ring with a form of degreaser (suppose to be the best) and it still won't come off.

The whole purpose of this is to fix the leak.

    Hi ToniB

If this is the large brass ring that holds the cartridge in place then you don't usually use standard tools... only serve to crush the ring. Here, you would be better to get a rubber glove or purchase a STRAP WRENCH and see if you can remove the ring that way.

The rubber glove may increase your gripping power but not allow you to misshape the ring when loosening it. Same goes for the strap wrench in a manner of speaking in that the strap wrench applies a consistent force around the entire ring... again, not misshaping the ring and allowing it to spin right off... ;)

    Good luck!
