How will a judgement affect me when I marry
My fiancé and I own a construction company together. One of the houses we built was foreclosed on and the bank filed judgements against us. I filed bankruptcy so I am clear of the judgement. My fiancé did not. We plan to get married, but I want to make sure that once we get married, I will not be affected again by the judgment.

You will have to keep assets clearly separated... anything that's co-mingled can be grabbed as well as anything that's his.

In effect... if his name is on it... its fair game.
