How to reverse house signing-over
Two years ago an elderley disabled neighbour signed her house over as gift to younger neighbours who were kind to her. Is there any way that she can cancel the original signing over. In the past few weeks they have been asking how much money she has in the bank and also been rude to her. She is convinced that they are going to persuade the Social Services to rehome her in a home and sell the house. No money changed hands - she had a solicitor who advised her not to do it... but she did. They had no solicitor. Please can you advise if there is a way to rescind the "deal". Many thanks. p.s. this is under English Law

If they had no solicitor was this even legal?
How was it "signed over", simple gift, conditional exchange, contract...

Hi Curly... amazing quick response. She had a solicitor at the time as she was rewarding them for their kindness and she assumed lifelong kindness. It was as a gift with the condition she lives there for life. Thanks a lot.

The wording of the "gift" is the important.
If it was conditional then there might be a chance, otherwise it doesn't look good.
Either way she needs the help of a solicitor..

Very sad---- more for the lady's pride than anything else. She trusted to their "assumed" kindness. I will let you know if there is an outcome. Thanks again ---- you, like me, seem a "proper" person.
