95 chevy silverado won't shift from park
My 95 chevy silverado won't shift from park. It especially won't shift out of park when it's 80 degrees or warmer outside. I get it into neutral then start it and shift into drive to go. It has 114000 miles on it and is a 4 wheel drive with a 5.7. I am thinking the brake light switch but the brake lights all work.

. Spray the brake light switch mechanism with WD-40. Check its adjustment.

. Check/replace the neutral starter switch and its adjustment.

Shift out of Park [ 2 Answers ]

I'm having a hard time getting my car to shift out of park when I start it. I have to push the brake pedal as hard/far as I can. I have a 1996 mustang (automatic). I'm like everyone, I can't afford to leave my car at a garage while they figure out what is wrong. Does anyone have any idea?
