    3 state filings
    I live in WI, but worked in NJ for the summer and lived in NYC. Do I have to file tax returns for each state?

    If you moved back to Wisconsin at the end of the summer, you will have to file Wisconsin and NJ state tax return, but NOT NY (unless you had NY income taxes withheld from your salary).
