    EtG/EtS Elimination Calculations
    Dr. Bill,

First off, thank you for settling so many frantic minds with frank and rapid responses! I recently found this site and would like to know if you have created a general table of calculations for the Lehman to calculate?
I have been filtering through posts to aggregate information specific to variables such as (Formula for time of last drink, consumption density, body type and avg EtG elimination period)

My curiosity lies in estimating approximate BAC=0 (obvious variables in place),Without calculations would this be the Absolute Zero to start with if you had zero BAC via a breathalyzer or installed interlock car device?
    For example:
chronic daily drinker, 35-40 female, 125-145lbs, typically drinks 1- 1/2 bottles of Chardonnay wine, 5-9pm first bottle, sips additional additional glasses until 12 pm with food and fluids only after drinking... for constant routine of 3 weeks straight and 1 week off. With chronic drinking causing higher elimination rate would...
EtG 500 cut off show (500+) results for 1-1/2 bottles start Friday 7pm - end sipping 1am Saturday, testing Wednesday at 3pm?

(exercise, fluids and multiple meals throughout Friday - Wed)

Just calculating EtOH consumption to BAC=0 is a precarious task without sequential readings from urine, blood or breath. There are at least 27 inter-dependent variables in BAC calculation alone.

Once that is determined there is no way of knowing how much EtG was synthesized and therefore no way of predicting a clearance time. EtG cannot be correlated to BAC, volume of alcohol, or drinking time. That is peculiar as EtG is supposed to be a direct liver metabolite of ethanol. Therefore those factors have to be involved.

Thank you for your quick response! Without precise calculations present for reference tables, can you address the drinking of 1-1/2 bottles of wine Friday starting at 7pm, final sips at 1am... and approx prediction of results of EtG testing 500 cut off on Wednesday at 3pm? ( majority of consumption after meal between 7-9 Friday lingering sips till1am, with regular meals and fluids in following days) female 38, 120lbs. Habitual drinker 3/4 weeks per month... with BAC tested comfort level of .16 via home breathalyzer testing.
Thank you for your insight, time and devotion.

I'm going to need height. The size of wine bottle, most are 25 oz, but specify as well as % alcohol.

It will be morning before I can get back to you.

    Thank you for your time.
I believe height is approx. 5'4" and estimated wine per bottle is 750ML 13% by volume.

From last drink until test was 86 hours? The time span is the leading indicator that no EtG will be present. That conclusion is based primarily on comparison of amount consumed to recorded clearance times.

Detection of EtG above the 70 range is very unusual and applies only to seemingly extreme cases. Mostly inpatient detoxing chronic alcoholics.

The fact that drinking occurs on consecutive days has proven inconsequential.

    Thank you for feedback.
I know you have scientific formulas so I am not sure I am adding correctly.

Strictly counting hours from last drink I calculated it was closer to 110 hrs... (Saturday 1 am - Wednesday 3pm)

If I calculate with additional time for body processing (feeling no side effects) I would use marker of Sat 12pm to count 24 hr periods for following days.
    At 12pm each following day:
    Sat-Sun is 24 hrs
    Sun-Mon is 48 hrs
    Mon-Tues is 72hrs
    Tues-Wed is 96hrs

In threads I have read, I haven't seen a lot of follow up from people on their results. Good or bad I will provide results to assist with your research.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

You're correct. For some reason I timed from Sunday. Better yet. There is no record of anyone failing EtG above 102 hours.
