1099 for non resident on J-1 visa
    Hello,

I am currently doing an internship in the US and have a possibility to do some other business while I am here. Am I allowed to get a 1099 when on this Visa or am I restricted to my internship position? If I am restricted, would I be able to form a company and through that do the business?

    Best regards

You ARE restricted to earn money only from the company that is sponsoring your internship.

If you form a Subchapter S corporation, you can perform limited work under the corporation, but you can be an active manager, so that option is NOT really a viable, legal option.
