Can my kids get some kind of income besides welfare if their father is on SSI?
He is receiving ssi for is liver sorouses.Why I ask is it fair if he drank to get where he is at he received his liver know on recovery 9 months and he still on ssi and back to drinking I at least would be OK with 300$ a month for both his kids, He says no he will never have to help.. I don't see how that is fair make him pay like everyone else my kids are teens to other fathers that they go to an extent,Yet others get away with it everyone should be treated equally

I have two kids and I've been receiving ssi all my life. My quetiong is can my two daughter receive any benefits because I have not worked on a job a day in my life. Will that affect me trying to get some income started for them because I'm 100% disabled.
My question is: In NY... if a mother is collecting SSI can her child receive welfare ( separate from the mother's SSI )? Thank You, as this pertains to a voucher for school fees for the child.
