my ex wife and I have a 9 year old daughter together. I was awarded joint custody and my ex is trying to get it reversed to the old order. She makes up terrible lies in court. She has also made malicious attacks at my wife. (I've been remarried now for 3 years but with her for 5.) I don't speak to my ex because of all the lies she tells.
In court, the judge has ruled for us to do counseling but I don't want to because the X tells so many lies. The judge thinks it's affecting the child. My wife and I instruct our daughter to always tell the truth in matters. And my daughter is doing okay in school. She made the Bronze Honor roll but has struggles with her reading. She really is just a normal 9 year old.
So my question is; Is it okay to not communicate with the X. I will let her know if any emergency were to happen. I don't know if she'd do the same. I just would rather not have to talk with her because of all the lies she tells.
