I was using Transmission QT but since it was giving me a lot of errors (and wasn't as fast as other clients) I decided to move onto Utorrent.

I would like to continue my torrent files downloads from where they have reached without having to start all over again!

I tried copy pasting the files into the folder used by utorent and reopening the .torrent files again from within utorrent, but the download would always start from zero. Please help.

Most of the info on the net suggests I copy the unfinished saved files and place them where the utorent client will read them (coz both programs are using different folders), and reopen the .torrent files in the new program. But that did not work.

+I generally do not download torrent links but use the magnet link. I still managed to find all the previous .torrent files in "Application Data" folder (placing %appdata% in RUN and hitting enter takes me there) . When I click add torrent in Utorrent and have to show the program where the file is I can't seem to get there , so what I did is copy pasted the files in another folder not sure if this matters.

+Transmission appends partially downloaded files with an extra extension (.part) so I removed it for all the tests I did so utorrent would be able to recognize them.

+Transmission also created a resume file for each downloading file, I also copy pasted that into the utorrent folder just in case that mattered.
