Troubleshoot Craftsman lawn tractor model 917.287140
I have a 4 year old 20 hp, 46" cut mower that always starts good the first time each day and will run good for 10-15 minutes then suddenly stops. After that I must wait 15+ minutes and then it will only run for 4-7 minutes. I have done all the simple things such as remove gas tank, new gas, filters, spark plug without any solution. What should I try next, I'm 70 miles away from any dealer.

I have a Craftsman lawn tractor model #917.273130(17 HP electric start, 6 speed transaxle). It runs fine but as of about 10 days ago in the middle of cutting grass it just stopped moving. Any suggestions?
When I jump start my tractor , its starts with no problem. But when I remove the jumper cables, it dies immediately.
