What happens on a first visit to hematologist?
Where to start.. well a couple years ago I was diagnosed with PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome). I've been put on a BC pill for that. A few months ago I was having heart palpitations, skipping beats. I was put on a 24 hour monitor(hated it) and got lab work down. My thyroid was out of whack and I was put on meds for that. Back then(this was about 3 months ago) my white blood cell count was 12.4. I had just gone in maybe a couple weeks ago for more lab work and my white blood cell count has only gone down to 12.1. my doctor is sending me to a hematologist.. any ideas? What do they do on a first visit?
