When my sister was younger she would complain about seeing objects move and hearing strange noises at our house, but no one else saw anything. After a little while it stopped, but when she graduated high school and moved into an apartment it started up again. She and her roommates would hear doors slam shut, lights go on and off and see shadows. When they moved to a different place the activity continued, even with her different roommates. My sister and her boyfriend just moved into a new place this week, and already lights have gone on and off and doors have slammed on their own. I witnessed it myself. I don't think it's a ghost as they don't follow people. It isn't violent at all but it scares her. I researched it a little and I think it might be poltergeist or unconscious psychokinesis. This kind of thing has never happened to anyone else in my family, including myself, and I am very close to my sister. What could be causing this?

I have been studying this for many years. It could be her doing it without realising it or it could also be that she is being hauted.A spirit can follow a person if it is the person that is haunted.can you give more details like how many shadows have she seen.As anything violent happened since the activities started?

She and her friend have only seen a shadow once, at their first apartment. I believe there was a death there years before, I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Nothing violent has ever happened.

So they have never seen it since.Because of the first exeprience in her first appartement she could be making things move thinking that it is still happenning the mind is very powerful.If she believes that things are moving they will.If you think she is being hauted maybe purifying the house could help.And see if it works.

Who says ghosts do not follow people? TAPS?

Spirits can follow people, they can appear however they want, whenever they want and to whom ever they want.
