    Need a songwriter
Hi I'm a singer I have 6 years of lessons behind me. I believe I'm a good singer however I can't seem to write any music. Would anybody be willing to help me? I need lyrics and a melody. Anyone up to the challenge?

I don't think you're going to get any "takers." People would be foolish to post or furnish anything to you that is not copyrighted.

If it IS copyrighted they would be looking for a known singer in order to collect royalties, achieve some professional recognition.

This question is asked somewhat often.

Where do you perform that someone would be paid and get recognition for his/her music? That would change things.

I don't preform that's the thing. I WANT to get famous and obviously the songwriter would get credit whenever I tried to get a chance to preform and would be paid (if I am -.-) I'm only 16 and all I want to do is sing

    It's perform, not preform.

Again - why would somebody turn over copyrighted music to you when they could sell it to someone who is a professional singer.

Where do you perform now - Church, school events, civic events?

You can't just decide to be a singer. You need to have experience. You said you're taking lessons (or was that someone else?).

I am taking lessons I have been for 6 years. All I do is sing in the church choir and also singing at school. I can't PERFORM if I don't have a song and I decided I wanted to sing when I was 4.

The vast majority of singers do not perform original works - they either cover someone else or write their own music.

Please don't type in caps - it's the same as shouting at me and it's not necessary. I thought perhaps you didn't want to be embarrassed by misspelling perform.

Your voice teacher should have a list of sources. Your teacher can also help you with the statistics about how many people are good singers, back up, something else - but not "famous."
