    Being added to deed
    I was added, but where it says other transfer information goes it says type of transfer and it says gift. Why?

    Because you didn't pay for your share of the property. It was given to you as a gift.

    It's for the property appraiser's benefit, so that they have a clue as to what the property may be worth.
