Can a probation officer treat you unfairly?
Is there anything you can do if he is treating a client unfair like maybe change the PO?

    Hello P:

You'll NEVER get a new PO if you go through the front door. By that I mean by requesting a change, or making a complaint about the one you've got... That's only going to bring down their wrath upon you...

So, I'd take the back door approach... When you're being treated "unfairly", your FREEDOM is in jeopardy. Guarding your freedom DEMANDS drastic action.. Oh, it's not all that drastic.. All you have to do is move to a new city WITHIN your state. After you do, report to your NEW PO in your NEW city... You don't NEED permission to travel or even MOVE within your state.

And how are you being treated "unfairly" PO's are not there to be your friends, they are there to try and find a reason to send you back.

I am on post prison supervision in Oregon. I hear people say that their P.O. treats them so unfairly. In reality they are being treated the same way all of us are. When I got out they made it so I was unable to see my son for 90 days. They kept me from seeing my fiance' because we were co defendants. Even though we were engaged and have a child together. I jumped through their hoops. I lived in a clean and sober house for 90 days which sucked, did parenting classes (which were helpful), and maintained a job. At first it felt unfair but it paid off and I earned me freedoms back. I suggest that you stop getting in trouble amd violated and you will stop being treated "unfairly" in all reality you are being treated as you deserve. Which is how repeat offenders will be treated until they prove they have changed.

Also to reply to fr chuck's post. They are here to help me p.o. helped me get a job and found a private owner of the four plex I live in under my name and by myself. Also she helped me get back into college after being suspended after failing to get my grades up after being on academic probation. So just to reiterate if you are doing what you are supposed to do your P.O. is there to help you.
