    Shower Diverter Won't Turn On
    I have an old house and I need to know how to fix my shower, the water runs out of the spout with no trouble at all but when I pull the lever that between the water handles to start the shower its stuck and the shower won't turn on any help would be great

    You have a three handle tub/shower valve. Correct? (see image.) This is a diverter problem in the valve. Open up the center valve and check the washers. Replace any broken or faulty ones. Now turn the water back on for a few seconds to flush out the diverter opening. Reassemble and test. Shower working now? Good luck, Tom
