Implantation or periods

I got my last periods on 1st July and lasted for only 3 days. I and my husband are trying for the baby since 8 months now.but no progress. This month we also did folical study. My cycle is of 28days and on 31st July I saw few drops of blood when I went to washroom. I also did the pregnancy test but its negative. Is it a implantation bleeding or actusl periods please help
