    help solving logarithms
    Struggling to find "t" in repayment formula

    A= P*r (1+r)^t / (1+r)^t - 1
    How do I solve for "t"

    Solve for (1+r)^t first.

    As written you have:



    Clearly the (1+r)^t terms cancel. Is that really what you meant?
