When will my cat have her kittens
Ok so my cat is a little over one years old. She is an inside cat but she ran away about three or four months ago. When she came home she was definitely pregnant. If you hold her stomach then you can feel them moving around, she is always sleeping, and she is constantly eating. I thought she was going to have them about a week ago because it seem as if she was having contractions she was breathing with her mouth open and crying a lot but not anymore. I have put her in a quite room and been keeping an eye on her and still no kittens. Do you know about how much longer she should have?

The panting and crying is typical birthing activity. I'd have the vet check her out. Could be a blockage issue, especially if it is her first litter. After the kittens are weaned, please consider neutering her. I work with a foster animal group and the amount of kittens we find dumped in boxes or drowned is just heart breaking..

Cat pregnancy is about 2 months. And yes, please have a vet check her (and eventually spay her when she has weaned any kittens she has). I work at a cat shelter where cats and kittens are dumped off all the time, especially late at night when no one is at the closed shelter to question the dumper about the cat's history. Recently, a cat was left during the wee hours and had been squashed between the storm door and wooden door so he wouldn't escape.

I just checked to see if I could see if anything was stuck and I couldn't see anything. She seems to be acting normal right now and she keeps licking herself. I don't think thiers a blockage but if she don't have them soon I will contact a vet.
